The European stocks ended the day on a positive note, with the Stoxx Europe 600 index rising by 0.42% to 463.93.

Top Gainers
Among the constituents of the Stoxx Europe 600 index, telephone systems company Telenor ASA saw the largest increase with shares rising by 6.7%. Health care/life sciences firm Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA and health care/life sciences company Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC also performed well, with their shares increasing by 6.4% and 5.7% respectively.
Other notable gainers were real estate/construction company Alfa Laval AB and retail company Howden Joinery Group PLC, whose stocks increased by 5.1% and 4.9% respectively.
Top Losers
Media/entertainment company Viaplay Group AB Series B experienced the largest decrease among the Stoxx Europe 600 constituents, with shares plummeting by 48.7%. Home electronics/appliances firm Electrolux AB Series B and mining & metals company Boliden AB also faced significant declines, with their stocks tumbling by 20.3% and 12.7% respectively.
Consumer goods company Essity AB Series B and real estate/construction business Georg Fischer AG rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks declined by 8.6% and 7.9% respectively.
Currency and Commodity Market Updates
The pound was down 0.68% against the dollar, while the euro was down 0.61%. Brent crude declined by 0.24% to $79.27.
Bond Yields
The yield on the 10-year gilt rose by 6.10 basis points to 4.273%, and the yield on the German 10-year bund increased by 4.730 basis points to 2.49%.
