Top Gainers
Among the Stoxx Europe 600 constituents, mining & metals company Metso Oyj saw the largest increase on Friday, with shares rising by 9.0%.
Other notable gainers include:
- NatWest Group PLC, a banking/credit firm, which saw a 7.1% increase in their shares.
- Antofagasta PLC, a mining & metals company, whose shares increased by 5.7%.
- Rexel S.A., an industrial goods company, and Eurofins Scientific SE, a health care/life sciences business, saw their stocks increase by 4.7% and 4.3% respectively.
Top Losers
On the other hand, Nibe Industrier AB Series B, a real estate/construction company, experienced the largest drop among the Stoxx Europe 600 constituents. Their shares plunged by 13.4% on Friday.
Other notable losers include:
- Renault S.A., a motor vehicles firm, which saw a 4.7% decrease in their shares.
- Temenos AG, a technology company, whose shares fell by 4.6%.
- Fortnox AB, a technology company, and A.P. Moeller-Maersk A/S Series B, a transportation/logistics firm, saw their stocks decline by 4.1% and 3.4% respectively.
Currency and Commodity Performance
The pound was down 0.10% against the dollar, while the euro was down 0.03%.
Brent crude, a key commodity, increased by 0.48% to reach $83.26.
Bond Yields
The yield on the 10-year gilt rose by 6.41 basis points to reach 4.111%, while the yield on the German 10-year bund rose by 4.260 basis points to reach 2.41%.
