Shares of GameStop Corp. Cl A (GME) took a hit on Friday, with a decline of 1.31% to $21.93. Despite this setback, the overall stock market had a positive trading session, with the S&P 500 Index (SPX) rising by 0.99% to reach 4,582.23 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) increasing by 0.50% to reach 35,459.29.

This marks the fourth consecutive day of losses for GameStop Corp. Cl A.

Closing at $26.06 below its 52-week high of $47.99, which was achieved on August 8th, the stock missed out on reaching its peak.

On Friday, GameStop Corp. Cl A underperformed compared to some of its competitors. While Apple Inc. (AAPL) saw a rise of 1.35% to $195.83, AT&T Inc. (T) experienced a decline of 0.41% to $14.45, and Best Buy Co. Inc. (BBY) fell by 0.77% to $82.90.

Despite these trends, the trading volume for GameStop Corp. Cl A remained lower than average, with 2.6 million shares traded compared to the 50-day average volume of 4.2 million shares.
